Description:

Greenstone Gold Mines LP, a part of Equinox Gold Corp, has commenced production at Greenstone Mine in May 2024. The mine is set to become one of Canada’s largest open-pit gold mines, with an expected annual production of nearly 400,000 ounces of gold over an initial 14-year mine life, with further potential from a significant underground deposit.

As a Mine Haul Truck Swap Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth mining operations by safely and efficiently operating large haul trucks and assisting with operator breaks. This permanent position requires working up to 8 hours per day, contributing directly to the success of this landmark mining operation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate large Mine Haul Trucks safely and efficiently, following all relevant legislation, company policies, and operating procedures.
• Perform Field Level Risk Assessments before and during operations.
• Clean operator cabins and refill equipment fluids as necessary.
• Maintain logbooks and daily reports regarding safety and production.
• Track all loads, including sources and destinations, with accuracy.
• Use two-way radios, horns, and light signals to communicate with other operators and maintain safety standards.
• Transport materials such as sand, aggregates, blasted rock, and snow to various locations within the mine site.
• Monitor equipment gauges and indicators, reporting any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Experience, Qualifications, and Education:

• Completion of Heavy Equipment Operator Training (mandatory).
• Possess a valid G1 driver’s license (or equivalent or higher).
• Prior experience in industrial settings and/or mine site experience is considered an asset.
• Completion of Ontario Surface Common Core Training is an asset.

• Transportation: Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick-up point locations.
