Description:
Responsibilities include:
- Be a scientific specialist to AstraZeneca therapeutic areas, including products, disease state, emerging therapies and therapeutic landscape
- Provide accurate and timely responses (verbal and/or written) to triaged/escalated medical information requests from healthcare practitioners and/or vendor
- Ensure that all local and globally driven key performance indicators for Medical Information-related tasks and deliverables are met
- Build, review and maintain local medical information content (i.e. standard response letters, literature comparisons, slide decks) to align with global assets and local strategies
- Support the build of and/or lead internal brand and therapeutic training; working closely with the Medical team (Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Advisors, etc.) to create, revise and maintain scientific presentations
- Working with the brand team, provide scientific expertise and review when crafting promotional materials
- Inform Drug Information Centres (DICs) when significant changes to PMs have been made
- Identify and report Adverse Events to Patient Safety as per standard operating procedures; training will be completed prior to performing tasks
- Actively participate in and contribute to digital initiatives (i.e. OPTIC, AZMedical, MedOmni)
- Organize, host or participate in My Science Matters (MSM) events within the organization
- Provide back-up to your team members as needed, and perform additional tasks as assigned by management to improve how we work and enhance your development
- Conduct activities and interactions consistent with what we value and in compliance with the Code of Ethics and supporting Policies and Standards, reporting potential issues of non-compliance should these occur
Education/Qualifications:
- You have a university degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing
- You have a strong MS Office and database search skills
- You have effective relationship skills and a strong commitment to positively impacting a team
- You are a strong communicator, and are able to critically evaluate, assess and synthesize scientific and clinical literature
- Industry or similar experience, preferably in Medical Information or the Medical Affairs function is preferred
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
