We are currently seeking a Product Expert – Finishing for our Ste-Claire, Quebec site. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing various product systems and components related to finishing. You will guide product design, ensure technical integrity, and provide expert advice to maintain our leadership in technology.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Serve as the technical owner of finishing components and subsystems.
✅ Define and document tolerance requirements to ensure production consistency.
✅ Prepare, format, and communicate technical specifications to suppliers.
✅ Lead technical discussions with designers and manufacturing engineers.
✅ Develop validation plans, conduct tests, and assess designs.
✅ Approve design modifications and new concepts for finishing systems.
✅ Mentor and support design teams integrating systems into vehicles.
✅ Act as the internal reference for finishing technology advancements.
✅ Conduct technology monitoring to identify opportunities for innovation.
✅ Participate in project technical planning, risk assessment, and validation.
✅ Support development and production teams in system integration.
✅ Plan and manage team workloads while meeting project deadlines.
✅ Identify and mitigate development risks, ensuring successful project outcomes.
✅ Assist in analyzing technical failures and implementing corrective actions.
✅ Represent the company as a technical expert to clients and suppliers.

Who You Are:

✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
✔️ Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
✔️ Experience in product development (preferably in automotive or transportation).
✔️ Knowledge of composite materials, glazing, plastics, and metals.
✔️ Familiarity with geometric and dimensional tolerancing, DFM/DFA principles, and FMEA analysis.
✔️ Strong technical writing skills (e.g., technical specifications, test plans, and reports).
✔️ Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
