Description:
The Marketing Specialist - Events & Sponsorships will work with the Director, Marketing & Communications and the marketing team to development and execute our events and sponsorship campaigns and initiatives.
You Will:
- Develop the plan, budget for events, and execute the events while engaging with partners and event participants.
- Contribute to the creation of meaningful and impactful events that generate brand awareness, engage the community, and are run smoothly.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and execution of events including trade shows, music festivals, Tin Shack and community events of varying nature.
- Maximize the opportunity to build new relationships with donors and sponsors through strong event management and post-event stewardship.
- Create and disseminate event instructions and details for support staff or reps
- Oversee post-event coordination including but not limited to debrief meetings, recommendations, reports and summaries for senior team
- Keep reps, volunteers, sponsors, and other key stakeholders informed and involved throughout the event cycle.
- Represent Tin Shack and our brands at events and in the community.
- Coordinate translation and collaboration with external partners.
- Collaborate and assist on other marketing and sales projects and support as required.
- Support the Director, Marketing & Communications with various projects including product samples, PR initiatives, reports for brand presentations and ad hoc needs as required.
- Assist with B2C and B2B MailChimp campaigns from scheduling, testing and analytics. (ad hoc)
- Support marketing team through program launches and various marketing initiatives
- Ensure that everything you do drives awareness of our brands and success for our partners.
- Collaborate, coordinate, administrate and support with boundless positivity & energy.
- Manage a large number of tasks and projects with a calm confidence.
- Provide exceptional proactive marketing support to a busy team who will appreciate your efforts.
You Are:
- An insanely organized and productive marketing professional with 3-5+ years in a similar role.
- Driven to elevate our brands for the joint success of the business and our retail partners.
- Digitally savvy with very strong technical skills (Monday.com, G-Suite, Photoshop, MS Office, , social media platforms and content a bonus!)
- Capable of having many balls in the air: help plan and execute a trade show – check! Review sponsorship request and recommend to your Director of Marketing – check! Event planning for music festival sponsorship – check! Reviewing MailChimp e-blasts – check!
- A master communicator that can take a good idea and make it great, all with a sense of pace and urgency
- Capable of pushing the boundaries in exceeding timelines.
- A hopeless creative who wants to share, inspire, and grow.
- Articulate & (ideally) Bilingual in English and French.
