Responsibilities:
- Build sell-in strategies and seasonal marketing plans to align sales and marketing initiatives and provide support from sell-in to sell-through
- Communicate regional needs with the global marketing team to ensure marketing plans are successfully executed
- Create and deliver marketing presentations for seasonal sales and key account meetings
- Develop marketing campaigns and identify content partnership opportunities with key accounts
- Develop paid social media and digital advertising programs, and strategically implement regional content in Mountain Hardwear’s digital and social channels
- Lead, develop, and execute the visual representation of the Mountain Hardwear brand across all physical consumer touchpoints in Canada
- Work with agency partner on public relations strategy, outreach, seeding and media trips
- Establish strategic partnerships with and and coordinate activation at industry events
- Establish strategic non-profit and organizational partnerships and leverage opportunities to elevate existing partnerships
- Manage relationships and product seeding with professional athletes and guide partners
- Select, engage and manage external business partnerships (i.e. agencies, tradeshow booth vendors, etc)
- Develop and be accountable for the Canadian marketing budget, and support financial tracking by monitoring expenses, invoice submissions and approvals through the ARIBA vendor network
- Communicate marketing deliverables and timelines with the Global Sales Teams (US, Canada, IDR) for all sell-in and sell-through tools
Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field
- 8-10 years of professional experience
- Experience in related outdoor or sporting industry is beneficial. A strong connection to and understanding of mountain activities a plus (climbing, skiing, etc.)
- High level of ownership of responsibilities, forward thinker, always working towards elevating brand opportunities
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot, make difficult decisions independently, operate autonomously, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of the GTM process and the support needed to execute a multi-season calendar
- A high level of professionalism and outward demonstration of acumen related to the role and understanding of business is critical
- Must be be able to professionally deliver presentations to groups of all sizes.
- Advanced knowledge of digital media and delivery techniques as well as excellent computer skills for MAC environment and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- Job requires hours that may exceed 8 per day and/or 40 per week. Evening meetings and weekend work occasionally required to ensure timely project completion
