About the role:
- Co-ordinate the production of regularly scheduled and ad hoc communications, ensuring materials are accurate, suitable for the audience and delivered within budget and timelines.
- Develop, manage, and implement effective investment and product communications, marketing programs, webinars, and events to educate distributors, build brand and increase sales opportunities.
- Draft, design and distribute internal and external communications.
- Evaluate effectiveness of promotional programs and activities.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues from other HSBC Asset Management offices to effectively leverage, localize, and implement centrally produced product and investment communications.
- Work under tight timelines in a dynamic, ever-changing environment (i.e., investment markets) where ad hoc requests are the norm.
- Manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once.
- Work independently and within a diverse team including with stakeholders from different departments, entities, and countries.
- Complete other ad hoc duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by regulators.
Requirements

- Minimum of five years proven and progressive experience or equivalent in the investment industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, business, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong prioritization, planning, project management, communications, leadership, presentation, relationship building, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Well-developed copywriting, copy-editing, proofreading and general creative design skills.
- Strong investment marketing knowledge including principles and practices of effective investment communications, production, copywriting, and design processes.
- Have a thorough understanding of, and direct experience in the investment management and / or financial planning industry supporting asset growth and retention.
- Knowledge of the business, investment products and services offered as well as the external environment affecting them.
- Initiative-taker with the ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize existing workload and ad hoc requests.
- Resourceful and can utilize internal and external information such as research insights and data to create effective communications and marketing programs to develop and grow the high-net-worth and institutional business lines.
- Flexible and can adapt quickly to changing situations and conditions.
- Ability to work under pressure, work with tight timelines and effectively manage ad hoc requests.
- High degree of ownership, accountability, and constructive sense of urgency.
- Keen sense of company and business objectives.
- Additional preferred qualification: Completion of programs such as Investment Funds in Canada Course; Canadian Investment Funds Course; or Canadian Securities Course, Personal Financial Planning Designation (PFP) and / or Chartered Financial Analyst Designation (CFA).
- Additional preferred qualification: Technical investment marketing knowledge.
