Role & Responsibilities
MARKETING & CONTENT CREATION
- Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement, sales, and achieve other company objectives.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop and maintain brand messaging and guidelines.
- Create and manage content for all marketing materials and platforms, both digital and print, including managing social media accounts.
- Edit and enhance photos, videos, and other multimedia assets to maintain a cohesive brand aesthetic and storytelling approach.
- Write compelling copy and headlines to accompany visual content and effectively convey key messages and calls to action.
- Create, manage and execute marketing campaigns for both Spotlight Events and its marketing service clients across multiple digital and print channels, such as social media, email, website, events, posters, billboards, and others.
- Communicate project timelines, expectations, and deliverables clearly to clients and team, providing regular updates on progress.
- Consult with clients to understand their objectives and develop tailored marketing strategies and plans to boost event ticket sales, sponsorship recruitment, public awareness, brand engagement, and achieve other identified goals.
- Manage marketing budgets and track costs for campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance and analyze metrics to report on ROI and provide insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Coordinate with the event planning and design team, as well as external vendors, to create event materials, displays and installations based on unique requirements, objectives and design plans.
- Monitor industry trends and stay updated on best practices in marketing and advertising.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
- Create visually appealing designs for digital and print materials including but not limited to: social media posts, website graphics, email newsletters, advertisements, brochures, posters, and product packaging.
- Translate strategic direction and goals into high-quality designs within an established brand identity.
- Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts based project requirements and objectives.
- Effectively select fonts, colours, shapes, images, designs, styles, and layouts for projects based on design principles and visual communication techniques.
- Present design concepts to clients, incorporating their feedback and ensuring satisfaction with the final deliverables.
- Coordinate proofing, feedback, edits and approvals with both the internal team and clients.
- Maintain organized project files including all design assets, and manage file sharing processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and design best practices to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of visual assets.
- Create product designs and prepare them for laser etching/engraving/cutting using LightBurn software and CO2 laser machine.
- Create designs and produce materials using a Cricut machine and Design Space app.

- Experienced graphic designer with a portfolio of digital, web and print design work
- Experienced marketing professional with examples of past campaigns in a variety of formats
- Passionate about marketing, design and creativity
