Marketing Copywriter

 

Description:

  • Develop and execute creative copy for marketing materials, including but not limited to, website copy, blog posts, email campaigns, social media posts, product descriptions, and advertisements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other stakeholders to understand brand and campaign objectives, target audience, and messaging.
  • Conduct research to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure all copy is relevant and compelling.
  • Create and edit content that is optimized for search engines and aligns with the organization's SEO strategy.
  • Work with graphic designers and other members of the creative team to ensure that copy and design are integrated effectively.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Proofread and edit all copy to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Take big ideas and ground them into succinct sentences that resonate
  • Write in a variety of voices and tones for diverse audiences.
  • Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information.
  • Work autonomously with minimal guidance
  • Collaborate with tea members to assure project alignment
  • Undertake other duties, projects and assignments as required.

 


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing copywriting role.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to write copy that is optimized for search engines.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including designers and marketers, to develop creative concepts and campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of marketing metrics and the ability to analyze data to optimize copy.
