Description:
We are seeking a marketing coordinator intern to provide marketing support for the Ask Masi program in our community. This position will report directly to the Manager of Operations at the OBWC as well as the Program Coordinator for the Ask Masi program. The position will combine marketing, communications, and outreach elements. This is the perfect summer job for someone looking for hands-on communications and marketing experience within the world of health administration.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be returning to school in the fall as this is a Federal Summer Jobs Program supported position.
- Must be between the ages of 18-30.
- Must have been registered as a full-time student during the most recent academic year.
- Excellent communication skills in English, bilingualism preferred
- Knowledge and experience in perinatal mental health, health care or not-for-profit/public sector organizations an asset.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software.
- Proficient in social media platforms; content creation platforms, website maintenance experience an asset.
- Current Police Record Check. (May acquire prior to start date)
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- A background or education in marketing or communications is a strong asset.
- Ability to use and generate content for social media platforms.
- Strong client service orientation. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to develop mutually respectful relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative.
- Must be able to work in, and be sensitive to, a multicultural environment.
