Description:
The Community Engagement Specialist will also manage marketing materials/collateral, including creating, updating, and distributing posters, brochures, rack cards, banners, and other assets.
Dimensions of Work:
This position requires working some evenings and weekends based on operational need.
Academic & Job Experience Required:
- Certification or Degree and experience in marketing, digital media, communications, public relations, job development or related field
- Experience with graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), website content management systems (Wordpress, MailChimp/CyberImpact), and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)
- Knowledge of marketing and promotional techniques, content generation, and PR
- Event planning and coordination, including creating staff schedules for events, developing event agendas, managing event logistics, creating, and distributing promotional materials, managing Eventbrite page(s), and compiling data for post-event reports
An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
Basic Requirements:
- Criminal Record Check, including the vulnerable sector
- Proof of being fully Vaccinated for Covid 19
- MS Office and overall computer proficiency, including data administration utilizing complex data bases.
Desired Requirements:
- Experience working with a diverse population
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector
- Own a vehicle & have driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and insurance
- Experience with public speaking (e.g., delivering presentations, speaking to large groups of people)
