NGIF Capital is unique in how it brings energy industry leadership to every startup investment with strong connections to every part of the value chain. NGIF Capital currently operates Cleantech Ventures Fund I. Our focus lies in increasing the environmental performance of the gaseous energy industry. NGIF Accelerator is the not-for-profit arm of NGIF and will operate all technology and innovation programs. Its mandate is to de-risk and accelerate technology development through supporting startups through their field trials, pilot projects, and industry validation. It will coordinate with the federal and provincial governments to co-fund projects to advance market commercialization. NGIF Accelerator operates the Emissions Testing Centre program and Industry Grants program. In both organizations, we prioritize communications as the cornerstone of all our endeavours, networking, and engagement with our partners and stakeholders. Role DescriptionThis is an internship role for a Marketing Communications Intern. The Communications intern will support NGIF's advocacy, events, operations, and communications activities. The successful candidate will assist in market research, drafting press releases, event planning and coordination, and project coordination.Further, they will ensure external meetings and events, are well organized, contact lists are kept up to date, and proper Lobbying Act documentation is filed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer with an eye for detail. They are interested in learning more about Canada's energy systems and policy development. The candidate must be organized, efficient, and independent, but must also be willing to speak up with clarifying questions or ideas for improving processes, outputs, or strategies to support broader NGIF's objectives.
