Marketing Assistant

Description:

Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, the Marketing Assistant supports the promotion of AHC’s programs, events and special initiatives, support in the production of content for digital sharing and print, aid in the storytelling of AHC’s clients and entrepreneurs, and support the recruitment of new immigrant entrepreneurs to the ESP program. Furthermore, the incumbent will provide skills coaching and demonstration and motivational support to build positive relationships, guide, inspire, challenge, encourage and help individuals as they improve their digital marketing skills for their business.

Duties and Responsibilities

1) Support in Marketing Strategy (5%)

● In relation to marketing, support the Communications Coordinator to determine gaps in current marketing efforts and recommend strategies for improvement.

2) AHC Program Promotion (70%)

● Stories telling:

✔ Assist in showcasing the client testimonial including (new immigrant clients, youth, entrepreneurs, volunteers etc.)

✔ Polish and publish stories on program social media and AHC’s website

● Participate in promoting AHC Programs:

✔ Help enhance all AHC programs visibility, especially targeting new immigrants to Canada.

✔ Review the existing social media and marketing processes and tools for their effectiveness and efficiency. Support the Communications Coordinator to identify and explore innovative avenues to promote program activities and services through various media channels and other advertising means.

✔ Help create and implement strategies that can bring consistency and enhance the engagement of clients to the existing social media tools and AHC website.

✔ Assist with creating promotional materials and translating them into various languages.

✔ Develop and maintain relationships with ethno-cultural/grassroots groups to expand the Program’s reputation.

✔ Attend inter-agency meetings to share project experiences as well as develop new collaborations.
