Description:

As the Marketing Advisor and Halifax Navigator, you will leverage your expertise in marketing and communications, engagement and event planning to:

  • Consult, advise and lead the development of marketing and communication strategies for immigration and population growth programs and initiatives that increases understanding and use of immigration and population growth initiatives, programs and services.
  • Support the Manager of Engagement and External Relations by acting as the Navigator for Halifax.
  • Supports the Director of Attraction and Engagement to set content performance goals and to evaluate and adapt marketing campaigns using data and analytics.
  • Influences positive behavior change through social marketing campaigns.
  • Develops, executes and delivers national and international attraction events in a variety of markets, including working with employers and partners to connect candidates with job opportunities.
  • Stays up-to-speed on emerging tools and technologies related to social media, engagement, and digital platforms.
  • Prepares social media summaries to inform digital content strategies, communications plans and decision making.

Qualifications and Experience
This might be the right opportunity for you if you have a university degree or diploma in marketing and/or communication with several years of demonstrated experience in destination marketing and event management and/or execution.

Essential to this role are your skill in destination marketing, effective interactive communication skills (written and verbal), self-awareness and visionary leadership abilities and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment under tight deadlines.
