Description:
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the operational readiness of the terminal’s operation by collaborating with internal departments and business partners to ensure the day of operation is set up for success
- Developing, managing, monitoring, and reporting on terminal processes and SOPs
- Managing the requirements of terminal construction by delivering expectations around acceptable operational impacts to YVR Engineering and collaborating with the Project Management team to minimize impact to the business
- Leading a team of professionals which includes hiring; coaching; training; monitoring work efforts and performance; supporting developmental activities; conducting formal evaluations and applying appropriate discipline
- Participating in, or overseeing, special projects and other assignments
Key qualifications include:
- Post-secondary degree, preferably in Business or Operations Management, supplemented by a minimum of five years’ experience working in aviation or an operational decision-making role; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to develop and implement business plans
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work with ambiguity
- Proven relationship skills including the ability to organize and facilitate effective communication between multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated people leadership skills
