Manager, Stations Field Operations Projects

 

Description:

Stations Field Operations is a team of approximately 700 tradespeople, administrative, professional and management
employees responsible for operating and maintaining BC Hydro’s generating stations, substations and other power system
facilities. The Manager of Stations Field Operations Projects reports to the Stations Field Operations (SFO) Director and is
a member of the SFO Leadership Team. The Manager is responsible for leading a team and delivering a program of
operational projects in support of business unit objectives. The Manager will work extensively with senior management in
Stations Field Operations and partner business units to define, implement and monitor projects that will deliver excellent
results for safety, reliability, skills and workforce capacity, and process improvements for work delivery.

What you'll do

  • Manage all aspects of the project program including planning of the program and delivery.

 

  • Lead a team of permanent and rotational staff who lead individual projects.

 

  • Build good relationships with stakeholders and provide effective stakeholder management at all many levels from front-line

management to partner business group directors and executive level.
 

  • Understand business needs and translate them into actionable plans.

 

  • Directly manage and deliver some complex projects within the program. Manage project scope, cost, resources, risks,

issues and quality.
 

  • Manage a team of permanent and rotational staff to deliver projects within the program including monitoring and

controlling the overall delivery.
 

  • Lead teams to resolve complex technical, business and project issues. When required, actively participate in resolving the
