Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology Services, the incumbent is responsible for the continual development and improvement of business / academic applications and services through both incremental and innovative technology change. The incumbent is a business-centric individual that successfully executes on a wide range of development projects from larger scale institutional projects to smaller initiatives.
The incumbent continually reviews and leads application development solutions that support the College vision and mission by keeping Loyalist College’s application environment responsive and meeting the functional requirements of staff and students.
In consultation with the Director and the Enterprise Architect, the incumbent will lead application development discussions and implementations that support the College’s progressive application development needs. This will include Agile, DevOps, performance management and multi-year planning requiring the incumbent to keep current on technology trends in the education sector and beyond.
