Description:

YOU WILL:

• Manage Endowment and restricted fund entries related to Unitization and Payout and ensure accuracy;
• Manage the annual Endowment reporting process;
• Manage analysis of restricted gifts, determining if gifts are subject to the internal fee; be proactive with stakeholders with complex gift agreements and ensuring the fee is reconciled for audit purposes;
• Manage the reconciliation of gifts in Blackbaud CRM to the revenue in Financial Edge; participate in posting revenue from Blackbaud CRM to FE;
• Manage Holding Funds, connecting with stakeholders on a monthly basis to ensure gifts are allocated in a timely way and gifts are directed to the correct Funds;
• Maintain the integrity of the SickKids Charitable Giving Fund (SKCGF) financial records, produce the financial statements and manage the year end audit;
• Act as an expert resource for the Foundation for charitable tax receipting, backing up the Associate Director, Accounting;
• Prepare initial drafts of SickKids Foundation financial statements for review by the Associate Director and assist in the audit;
• Other Accounting duties as part of ongoing operations, including, but not limited to:
  • Various balance sheet account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations;
  • Be responsible for various Accounting processes, including Parking and Granting entries;
  • Be responsible for Finance’s role in Fund and Appeal changes, as well as Fund maintenance, within the accounting system;
  • Cross training on functions to allow for coverage (daily revenue and expense tasks);
  • Deposits in the office on a rotating, scheduled basis;
  • Participate in various projects including process improvement, procurement and accounting system maintenance;
  • Manage the catalogue of Accounting Team procedures, ensuring they are current and bringing forward for consideration procedures that require updating or writing.
