Lead the development of indication and performance analysis on complex commercial new business and renewal accounts to evaluate rate adequacy and risk quality. Strategize pricing and underwriting recommendations.
Be creative in generating new ideas and recommend alternative solutions when encountering uncommon risk profiles.
Be creative in designing rate review approaches to enhance pricing sophistication.
Be able to gather and leverage internal and external data to increase pricing segmentation.
Closely monitor portfolio performance and underwriting strategies effectiveness; proactively share findings and recommend solutions.
Effectively communicate pricing analysis and recommendations to large audience including but not limited to underwriters, brokers, and leadership team.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders.
Provide guidance and coaching to analysts on technical and non-technical skills and provide regular performance review feedback to direct reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field
FCAS/FCIA preferred
Minimum 5 years of P&C pricing experience
Minimum 2 years of commercial large account pricing experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Capability of proactively identifying issues and initiating actions
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Deep understanding of commercial products and pricing techniques
Extensive knowledge of the P&C insurance industry and insurance operations in general
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate a vision
