Specific Accountabilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance for the design and administration of Hydro One’s pension, benefit and wellness programs to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead pension administration activities for multiple pension plans with focus on optimal member and retiree experience.
  • Develop short and long-term objectives for benefit design with focus on plan experience and external trends in the market place.
  • Negotiate pension, benefit and wellness agreements with relevant providers to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with legislation.
  • Develop and distribute benefit and pension plan program communications.
  • Build and manage vendor and consultant relationships to ensure active program management.
  • Interpret and apply various plan rules and play a key role in leading and planning pension and benefits projects.
  • Contribute to process and technology transformation initiatives aimed at improving employees’ support and experience.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of pension, benefits and wellness specialists.
