Description:
Duties
· Working closely with end users and management, assess the firm’s software, platform, and process requirements and manage the implementation process from A-Z, including needs assessment, RFP, interviews and decision. The firm’s systems include: CRM, portfolio management, client reporting, client onboarding, etc.
· Maintain systems, update and fix as needed.
· On an ongoing basis, assess pain points within the firm and proactively recommend and implement solutions.
· Support the reconciliation and accounting functions as required.
· Support the trading function as required.
· Communicate diligently and clearly with colleagues and external parties.
· Contribute to compliance process as required.
· Document processes.
· Complete projects and tasks as instructed by senior staff.
Knowledge, Experience and Expectations
· 3 years in a similar role with a firm that is registered to deal with securities, i.e. portfolio manager, investment advisor, financial planner, etc.
· Advanced Excel skills
· Programming experience
· Experience with a CRM system
· General familiarity with compliance, including KYC requirements and the importance of documenting interactions with clients
· Ability to work under pressure, maintaining professional demeanour during such times
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
· A degree, diploma and/or completion of industry courses such as the Canadian Securities Course is considered an asset.
