About the Manager, Marketing, Communication and Promotion Role:

  • Under the general direction of the Dean, Education & Training Solutions (ETS), and with a focus on innovation, creativity and data-based decision making, the Manager, is responsible for developing and implementing the ETS marketing strategy, and associated marketing plans and events. The Manager is responsible for the stewardship of the ETS and Real Estate Education Programs (REEP) brand and its alignment to Humber’s corporate brand. The Manager is responsible for the marketing budget and overseeing the development of marketing and promotional materials, web content, events and presentations targeted at internal and external audiences. The Manager is focused on the unique programming in ETS, primarily REEP, and its positioning in the marketplace. The Manager tracks enrollment trends in alignment with marketing efforts and develops and manages a comprehensive brand strategy for REEP and Associations & Professional Programs within ETS to advance the college’s position in the marketplace (brand strategy).
  • Planning, budgeting, developing and implementing marketing strategies related to ETS programs and supporting staff and other departmental events and initiatives (marketing strategy).
  • Planning, budgeting, developing and implementing web strategies and content related to humber.ca/real estate and its place in the DXP-CMS platform.
  • Managing the development and implementation of ETS marketing campaigns, recruitment campaigns, advertising and promotions, design and production, web development and programming, user experience design and support materials and services in the areas of marketing and web.
  • Providing strategic oversight and guidance to the ETS team (program managers, operations manager, dean and associate dean) and coordinating with others at Humber to ensure that service requirements are met in a high quality and timely fashion.
  • Leading market research and analysis to identify opportunities and threats to current, new and prospective programing.
  • Leading web and multimedia projects and approaches to website and multi-platform storytelling, including managing relations with key vendors producing web and creative assets.
  • Ensuring reputation management by monitoring social media, emerging trends or changes and working with the ETS leadership team to respond accordingly.
  • Providing advice to the ETS leadership team on web and marketing strategic priorities and sensitive topics.
  • Participate as a member of Humber’s CPL Marketing Group, Humber’s Communications Lead Group and other committees/working groups as determined.
  • Liaise with external partners and vendors in the execution of the above defined role.

Education
A university degree in Marketing, Marketing Management, Web Development, Project Management, Strategic Communications

Experience/Skills

  • Highly qualified, creative and dynamic marketing professional with diplomatic skills, foresight and sound business judgement;
  • Solid communications judgement with excellent writing, editing, verbal & presentation skills;
  • Experience in the development & implementation of learner recruitment strategies, execution of marketing and communication plans;
  • Proven ability to deal professionally with conflict management; political acumen and the balancing of a tactical & strategic perspective;
  • Ability to proactively & reactively make well considered decisions under tight timelines;
  • High level of confidence, professional & collegial demeanor;
  • Detail oriented to ensure accurate & reliable implementation of communications strategies;
  • Consultative leadership style with a focus on collegiality & respect;
  • Proven financial administration and general management skills; and,
  • Significant web, computer, marketing, and social media literacy.
