Maintenance Shift Supervisor

As the Maintenance Shift Supervisor, you will report to the Central Maintenance General Foreman and be responsible for supervising maintenance activities to ensure minimal impact of equipment failures on production. You will manage and direct a crew of Industrial Electricians, Millwright-Mechanics, and Welder/Fitters, ensuring effective maintenance operations.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate plant needs and make critical maintenance decisions

• Coordinate shift labor during production interruptions or equipment breakdowns

• Assign and oversee proactive maintenance work, inspections, and shop rebuilds

• Assist in diagnosing and resolving machinery malfunctions

• Conduct daily shift toolbox meetings to maintain safe and efficient operations

• Develop maintenance logs and failure analysis reports for shift performance tracking

• Communicate maintenance shift details and issues with the team

• Ensure company standards for safety, environment, and quality are upheld

• Supervise a maintenance trades crew of 10 employees

Schedule:

• 12-hour rotating shifts

Work Environment:

• Extreme cold and heat conditions

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the plant

Requirements:

• Technologist OR Engineering Degree OR Skilled Trades Certificate

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance supervisory experience

• Willingness to work off-shift manufacturing schedules

• Experience with CMMS (SAP, Maximo, etc.) is an asset

• Strong communication and time management skills

• Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
