Responsible for maximizing the mechanical and electrical availability of all plant equipment via strategies for improving maintenance performance, including training, PM development, maintenance and development of computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Lead development of an overall asset management program including incorporation of predictive technologies, maintenance data, and work history
Provide leadership to prioritize work assignments to maximize employee productivity and optimize equipment utilization
Lead a team of multi-disciplinary supervisors and hourly workforce to continuously improve performance.
Ensure employees are properly trained in areas of maintenance
In conjunction with the Operations Manager, set priority of resources and work schedules to achieve the production plans
Interface with supply chain for the purchase of spares, repairs and warranty issues
Work with outside vendors to provide technical assistance, resource and training support to department.
Build effective working relationships with all departments through participation at meetings and promoting daily, cooperative interaction
Provide input for formulating and defining policy at the plant and mine level
Direct, monitor and coach subordinates, observing their effectiveness and subsequently conducting performance reviews
