Maintenance Data Technician

The Conventional Maintenance team has an exciting opportunity available for an SAP Maintenance Data Analyst. Supporting the Conventional Operations business, the SAP Master Data Team is responsible for the accurate digital representation of Cenovus Facilities, well and equipment data in a Maintenance Management System (SAP). This role is responsible for the updating and maintenance of the Conventional standard planning and scheduling, inputting documents in CDMS as it pertains to the role.

What you’ll do:

• Perform data management activities within SAP Plant Maintenance such as verifying data accuracy, implementing data changes from requests, and perform data cleansing

• Work collaboratively with a range of teams including Maintenance, Operations, Construction, and Engineering to load equipment data into SAP

• Align with data standards, procedures, and best practices and use standards and training to challenge work processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the teams’ activities

• Interpret data reports, technical documents, engineered drawings and various sources of data to ensure high accuracy and data quality

• Process notifications to create/update SAP Function Location, Equipment and Assembly master data

• Verify asset data accuracy through investigation, document review, conversations, audits, etc. and correct discrepancies prior to loading into SAP

• Review documents including technical drawings, calibration reports, assessment reports, inspection reports, service reports, audits, etc

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada

• Minimum 2+ years of experience with SAP HR, FI, MM, BW

• Minimum 2+ years of experience with project management

• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skill
