Description:
We seek a qualified and experienced Lending and Business Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role involves delivering business loans, facilitating and growing business lending opportunities, offering business advice, and contributing to community economic development.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in business, commerce or finance.
- Experience in business loan management, including preparing security documents and knowledge of the Personal Property Security Act.
- Experience providing business counselling, financial analysis, and business plan assessment or equivalent.
- Public speaking experience and the ability to liaise with relevant organizations.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively liaise with relevant organizations.
- Knowledge of local economic trends, demographics, available business startup programs, and relevant small business services.
- Valid Driver's License and vehicle for required outreach
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software and applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Market and promote Valley Heartland services throughout Lanark County and North Leeds.
- Assist clients through the loan application process.
- Provide advisory services and counselling to business owners and entrepreneurs.
- Ongoing management of the existing loan portfolio.
- Establish, foster, and maintain positive relationships within the local business community.
- Other administrative functions as assigned by the General Manager.
