Description:

Meighen Haddad LLP is the largest law firm based in southwestern Manitoba with full time offices in Brandon, Souris, Killarney and Melita and regularly scheduled service to an additional seven communities.

The Legal Assistant role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare and revise legal documents as dictated or instructed
  • Organize and manage files, both paper and electronic, including closing files
  • Enter accounting transaction requests including invoicing
  • Schedule client appointments
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Provide exceptional service to clients
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required skills and preferred qualifications are:

  • Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work effectively in a professional, fast paced office
  • Minimum two years of Legal Assistant experience would be an asset, however, other combinations of education and office experience will be considered.

A satisfactory Criminal Records Check will be required for the successful candidate.
