Description:
Reporting to the Vice President Technology Program Delivery, this role is responsible for providing subject matter expertise to the CDO organization on Performance and Resiliency delivery and operations. The Lead, Performance and Resiliency is a highly motivated individual with an ability to consistently exceed expectations and show commitment to Payments Canada’s core values. The Lead, Performance and Resiliency plays a critical role within the Technology Program Deliver pillar of the organization and ensures the successful performance and resiliency engineering of the Real Time Rail, while harvesting tools and methods for future use.
| What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities as The Lead, Performance and Resiliency will include:
Performance and Resiliency:
- You will manage and lead performance and resiliency for all projects and programs within Payments Canada delivered under the CDO organization.
- You will align Payments Canada’s business continuity principles and practices with the performance and resiliency framework.
- You are responsible for reviewing design documents, change requests and provide feedback to delivery partners.
- You are responsible for consolidation and harvesting of performance and resiliency requirements from the Real-Time-Rail program.
- You will ensure performance and resiliency integration with solutions delivery, operations enablement and security teams.
Oversee System Integrator and Vendors:
- You will oversee System Integrator and solution vendors by reviewing design and build of technology systems, ensuring hardware, software, networking and storage products meet performance and resiliency needs.
- You will oversee all performance testing, perform acceptance and provide sign-off on performance activities.
- You will oversee all resiliency testing including: disaster recovery, perform acceptance and provide sign off on all activities.
Internal and External Stakeholder Relationships:
- You will align with joint and industry-facing performance and resiliency dialogues and decisions.
- You will build and maintain effective relationships with all Payments Canada employees, internal and external stakeholders, systems integrators and vendors.
- You will collaborate with technology peers to resolve resource issues and communication to senior leaders and executives.
| Minimum Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience;
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive IT work experience related to the high availability, disaster recovery and/or business continuity functions;
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive management and/or leadership experience in a technical environment;
- Demonstrated experience in implementing, applying, and governing IT service continuity management standards and procedures;
- Experience executing a resiliency control framework;
- Extensive experience with stakeholder engagement and management;
- Experience of evolving the testing framework from desktop scenarios to 'live' testing;
- Government of Canada Reliability clearance or eligibility to obtain.
