Description:
Responsible for the planning, development, organization and coordination of Inuaggualuit
programming and training. ï‚·
Responsible for planning and development of outreach to families and parental engagement. ï‚·
Overseeing and administering of budgets. ï‚·
Responsible for management of four direct reports under the division associated with Inuaggualuit
Language Nest. ï‚·
Responsible for research, development and updating and implementing of policy around Language
Nests. ï‚·
Explore expanding program to other Nunatsiavut Communities (i.e. conduct research to determine
needs assessments to determine ways the Language Nest Program can outreach to other Nunatsiavut
communities).
Qualifications: ï‚·
Early Childhood Education Diploma, Equivalent Primary Education Degree, diploma in the field of
Human Services, Child Youth Care or equivalent education and experience. ï‚·
Ability to build strong relationships with staff members, parents, children and community service
providers. ï‚·
Demonstrate knowledge of Inuit culture & traditions. ï‚·
Demonstrate knowledge of community resources. ï‚·
Ability to exercise sound judgment, communicate effectively, work collaboratively with staff, team
and community service providers.
Assets: ï‚·
Bilingual in Inuktitut and English
