Labourer 1

Description:

The Labourer 1 is a semi-skilled position essential to the day-to-day operations of the Town of Peace River. The position will perform labour duties and operate equipment for snow-clearing and ice control, assist with utility digs, perform maintenance on infrastructure, and will assist other departments as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following key characteristics:

• Experience operating light equipment, hand and power tools.
• A background working with a modern safety program.
• The ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a professional manner at all times.
• Possessing a Class 5 License.
• Knowledge of municipal infrastructure is an asset.

The position needs someone with a willingness to be on-call, take action in emergency response (i.e., during flooding, etc.), and a desire to be part of building a great community.
