Kvfd Office Manager

 

Description:

OFFICE MANAGER. This is a permanent, part-time position encompassing 20 hours

per week.

Reporting to the Fire Chief, the Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day

administrative and financial functions of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department.

The successful candidate should:

  • Be knowledgeable in the use of personal computer applications, specifically

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendar, Teams and PowerPoint)

  • Have a working and practical knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping

principles and procedures

  • The ability to use in-house financial accounting software would be an asset, as

would past experience in accounting procedures.

Education and Experience qualifications include:

  • Grade XII graduate or equivalent, and
  • A Business or Community College certificate or diploma in Business or Office

Administration would be preferred

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of directly related experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
