The Opportunity

Squaredance is looking for a Junior Product Designer to join our team! The ideal candidate will be someone who is a natural solid contributor for our developing platform. Your empathy and detailed approach to design will assist our team in crafting a remarkable platform experience; already confident in visual design and information architecture, you are naturally curious and are excited to learn how we can work together to hone your skills!

Our Junior Product Designer will bring a BIG impact to a small team by working within Product and alongside our Development teams to deliver stunning and effortless design. You will help build a cohesive and streamlined platform by assisting in the creation of new features, contributing to our design system and deeply understanding user pain points with research and user interviews.

Duties and Responsibilities ... i.e. where you can make an impact!

• Creating UI mock-ups, hi-fidelity prototypes and user journeys in Figma
• Contribute to feature design meetings with thoughtful discussion and present design work
• Help ensure design quality by reviewing implementation with the development team
• Architect and organize design documentation for effortless implementation
• Generate artifacts that are concise and well-designed, including user personas, conceptual models, site maps, functional flows, and annotated wireframes
• Iterate, test, evaluate, and iterate again; we believe in constant improvement through iteration to create the best designs.
