Description:
We value lifelong learners and have found that a mix of any of the following credentials have set people up for success in this role in the past:
- A Degree in computer science, information management, statistics, social sciences or an equivalent mix of the following knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of data lifecycle management including, acquisition, processing, and analysis
- Experience performing exploratory data analysis with programming languages, including Python, SQL and R
- Experience creating analytics, and reporting products
- Demonstrated expertise with reporting software and business intelligence tools (especially Power BI and Tableau)
- Experience with GIS mapping software (preferably ArcGIS or QGIS) would be considered an asset
- Experience performing ETL, for SQL and NoSQL databases and other data storage solutions
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and big data tools (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and predictive modelling.
