Description:
This role within the Corporate IT team, reporting to the AVP, Corporate IT VRO (Value Realization Office), supports transformation in business management, oversight, practices and processes. This role will have a key role in leading the financial planning cycles, and tracking of departmental objectives (KPIs, OKRs) for Corporate IT.
The Corporate IT team supports Corporate groups (HR, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Legal, and Tax, Global Finance and Actuarial) to allow for Sun Life’s core to operate without any issues or challenges.
What will you do?
- Track departmental objectives, including KPIs and OKRs, aligned to the organization’s strategic goals.
- Lead the financial planning cycles, including strategic planning, budget & forecast cycles, monthly analysis & reporting.
- Manage risk and financial performance for Corporate IT
- Facilitate the execution of contracts and payment of invoices
- Actively manage purchase order requisitions, liaise with purchasing and accounts payable teams to resolve ad-hoc issues/questions from the business.
What do you need to succeed?
- University degree (Business) and accounting designation (CPA,CMA,CGA)
- 2+ years experience in an Information Technology environment, managing financial processes
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and analysis of related activities (expense, revenue or other demand activities) / or project portfolio management experience.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate analysis and problem solving skills.
- High initiative, strong organization and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail
- Prior experience in a shared service or organization matrix model with the ability to work with teams across multiple locations and vendors
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Hyperion, Tableau, Planview and advanced proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint.
