Internal Communications Specialist

In this role, as an Internal Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for internal corporate communications and event planning, playing a crucial role in enhancing our company messaging brand and driving engagement. You collaborate with subject-matter experts in the organization to ensure internal communications align with overall organizational strategies, goals, and value.

What You'll Do On a Typical Day
 

  • Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent and timely communication
  • Use digital tools and platforms to create and manage internal communication activities
  • Develop internal communications strategies and implementing tactics to help maintain and strengthen company culture
  • Develop engaging and innovative communications messages with a strong understanding of how best to deliver information across different channels and across the country.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of cross-functional internal communications strategies, tools and materials that support the goals and objectives of the company
  • Understanding communication measurement tools, tactics, and benchmarks
  • Building, sourcing, and editing content for newsletters, internal company information or celebratory campaigns
  • Draft and publish internal announcements for employee notifications, initiatives, and company information
  • Prepare, gather, and refine company presentations, including engagement initiatives and town hall events
  • Produce video and creative internal digital media on multiple platforms
  • Organize internal events and oversee the company's social committee network
  • Oversee company rewards program
  • Collaborate confidently with leaders at different levels of the organization
     

What You'll Need To Be Successful
 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate with professionals at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to problem-solve
  • Highly organized and articulate and a focus on anticipating stakeholders needs.
  • Skill/tact in dealing with people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to think critically, effectively prioritize and manage time, task, and resources
  • A strategic growth mindset focused on initiating new ideas to elevate our communications approach
  • Skilled in developing engaging and innovative materials with a strong understanding of how to best deliver tactics across different company channels, in French and English quickly
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities
