Description:
In this role, you will be an important member of a close-knit and diverse team of 13 professionals who are well-respected across our organization. We celebrate the varied backgrounds and experiences of our team members by encouraging everyone to share suggestions on improving the way we plan, conduct, and report on audit and advisory engagements.
You will report to one of the Directors in the group, and you can expect to work with most of the other team members during your internship. Our flexible working structure provides many opportunities for you to step up to new challenges based on your readiness, including interacting with audit clients, performing data analytics, and conducting subject matter research. We operate on a hybrid work model and there will not be any travel opportunities or requirements.
What you’ll do
With guidance from others on the team, you may be asked to help on activities such as:
Shadowing and taking notes for experienced auditors on process walkthroughs
Performing substantive testing work on audits
Conducting desktop research to help prepare team members for upcoming audits and interviews
Planning and coordinating meetings with clients
Preparing regular progress updates to clients
Assisting with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations
Maintaining our PowerBI dashboards and data
Assisting with carrying out our audit quality improvement initiatives
Reviewing and summarizing management committee materials
Performing quality testing on recently completed audit files
