Intermediate Software Developer

Description:

We are seeking an Intermediate Software Developer (Software Engineer in Test [SDET]) to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing (e.g., regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, or performance tests) for new and existing applications working with business partners, developers, and other stakeholders. It is also an exciting opportunity to collaborate with other development teams to move BC Pension Corporation core applications from an on-premises to a hybrid (Azure, Oracle Cloud and on premise) environment.

A “day in the life” includes the below and more:

• Building robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression and performance testing
• Design, develop and maintain a hybrid testing framework using TestComplete in Python and JMeter in Groovy.
• Collaborate closely with Software Developers and Product Owner to form and follow quality procedures, standards and specifications ensuring they are met and deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective; and
• Working with CI/CD (Continues Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipelines related tools:
  • Source control (GitHub, Subversion)
  • Build Servers (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Deployment Servers (Ansible Tower)
  • Vulnerability and Code Scanning tools
