About the Intermediate Business Analyst Role:
This position will be reporting to the Manager, Laboratory Services. The work of eHealth is accomplished through strategic planning, procurement, implementation, ownership, operation and management of the Saskatchewan Electronic Health Record, as well as associated provincial components and infrastructure. eHealth’s role is two-fold: (1) Lead Saskatchewan’s efforts and investments toward building an electronic health record for each resident and (2) coordinate, operate and maintain other selected IT systems on behalf of healthcare delivery organizations in the province.

Typical Daily Duties:
To put these solutions in place, we are looking for a highly skilled business analyst with a team player attitude and customer focus who takes pride in knowing the work they do has a direct impact on the lives of patients, their families and our community. The type of work will vary each day but will revolve primarily around documenting business processes and requirements, specifications including providing support and training for technology solutions.

To make that happen, you must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, complex technology driven environment. The situations you will encounter aren’t black and white, so you must be proficient in solving complex problems, delivering solutions, and enjoy ‘working within the gray’. Proven experience and skills in effective project management, communication, problem solving, documentation standards, and a rigor for change management protocols and quality control are also required. Expertise is required for best practices for application use and future integrations in various program and business settings.

To qualify for this position, you will have knowledge and experience in the following:

• Knowledge of database concepts, theories and principles;
• Knowledge of requirements analysis and solution design principles;
• Knowledge of commercial software applications;
• Health sector related business knowledge is required;
• A strong technical background and experience with facilitation and training;
• Experience in the integration of healthcare IT applications with a focus on common EHR systems, interoperability standards are an asset;
• ITIL Certification is considered an asset.
