Description:
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3-5 years of applicable experience
· Experience with Sage 300 (formerly AccPac)
· Diploma or Degree in accounting, finance or related field
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Detail-oriented, professional and resourceful
Responsibilities:
· Prepare and send monthly invoices to vessel owners and charterers
· Provides General Ledger (GL) reports to staff members and make adjustments as necessary
· Receives supplier invoices which are entered into the accounting system for payment
· Key monthly accruals for vessels at the end of every month
· Compile monthly payroll report and post the Cost Variance Report for vessels
· Reconcile Bank Accounts
· Record vessel Masters Cash Reports each month
· Records and Distributes Petty Cash for office
· Assist the Controller when required
· Interface with Purchasing Department regarding missing invoices, accruals and duplicate PO’s.
· Relieve reception for front desk duties when required.
· Participates as a member of the Environmental Committee representing the Accounting and Administration Department
· Follows the QSMS policies and procedures as they apply to the position.
