Description:
A broker's primary responsibility is to meet sales targets through quotes and new business referrals. You'll be building lasting relationships with your customers every day, protecting their most valuable assets.
The Insurance Broker will:
- Provide prompt and efficient customer service
- Active in front-line underwriting to ensure risk meets internal and insurance company guidelines
- Cross selling and upselling policies. Ensure proper coverage is provided based on client’s needs
- Earn commission on new policies you quote and bind through referral leads
- Detailed documentation in broker management and insurance company portals
- Continue self-development through industry and training and other courses
- Generate leads through community involvement and events
- Knowledge of each Insurance Company’s products, endorsements, packages and payment plans
- Conduct sales calls for new business and making timely renewal calls for existing customer business
To be successful as a Insurance Broker with Union Power Insurance Brokers, you will need :
- Minimum 1-3 years insurance experience
- RIBO License required
- Other industry qualifications, such as CIP & CAIB, would be considered an asset
- Experience with Sig, Applied Rating Services, AS400, and other company portals an asset
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Effective organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
