Instructional Designer

 

Description:

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for providing expert advice on all aspects of curriculum development, including the effective design, development and delivery of training through BCRTC Learning Management System, as well as class-based and on-the-job training. Participates in the assessment of the training needs of internal business clients and prioritizes eLearning initiatives. Transcribe needs analysis and functional specifications into detailed training materials. Supports ongoing improvements in the effectiveness of training content and changing delivery methods. Provides support for instructors and end-users using designated curricula in all modalities. Works as an effective support resource for BCRTC.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

An undergraduate degree in Adult Education, Media Studies, Education Technology or a related field.

Up to 48 months (4 years) of work experience directly related to adult learning, including the design, development and delivery of eLearning solutions in a corporate environment, including designing and developing eLearning material using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Lectora, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, and media converters, audio editors and converters, video editing software, and LMS administration.
