Description:
As an IT Software Developer, you are responsible for developing end user systems, solutions and automated processes that support the Planning and Environment Department’s processing of permits related to new construction in Banff.
Working on in-house solutions, you seek ways to improve user experience, and keep the Town competitive, protected and connected. You model the Town of Banff’s employee values, contributing to exceptional service delivery and performance standards by the IT department.
As the successful candidate, you have a degree or technical certificate in computer science, information systems, or related discipline. A minimum two years of work experience has allowed you to acquire strong technical skills, excellent knowledge of IT software, applications, and technology trend.
Preferred experience includes Microsoft SharePoint,. HTML, JavaScript and CSS, NodeJS, React, Express JS, MySQL/ PostgreSQL, Full stack development experience, experience / knowledge of Git in a multi-developer environment and experience interacting with and developing APIs.

Upon your start date, you will need to provide a RCMP criminal background check, a valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License and a clear driver’s abstract.
