Description:
Reporting to the Director of Instruction – Technology and Innovation, the IT Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of the district’s strategic technology plan, task assignment and prioritization, supervision monitoring and evaluation of staff and overall coordination for the delivery and use of technology throughout the
District. The position requires a high level of technical and analytical skill and includes the development and maintenance of related IT practices and procedures.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide operational direction to direct reports, ensuring the achievement of financial objectives, including expense control, productivity, and the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations
- Audit the business and increase productivity by implementing workflow standards
- Work with District and School based staff to plan, develop, evaluate and implement technology based educational software and applications
- Develop and manage operational standards for IT systems
- Be proficient with Microsoft Windows and other Operating Systems
- Have experience with database administration and analysis
- Have experience with network, hardware, and software management
- Have 8-10 years of general IT experience
- Have previous experience leading or supervising others
- Make recommendation on capital investments designed to address capacity challenges and improve efficiency
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to de-escalate customer concerns by leveraging empathy, logic, and superior soft skills
- A technical degree or diploma from an accredited college or university
- Ability to make decisions with integrity that supports district guidelines and make good business sense
- Ability to work effectively with ongoing distractions is necessary
- Strong understanding of operational business processes and ability to apply business knowledge
- Project Management experience
- Strong understanding of business analytics
- Strong experience in change management
