Description:
Individual Financial Services Consultant (IFS) will offer guidance to customers regarding various insurance offerings such as life, living benefits, travel insurance, and registered products like RESP, RRSP, and TFSA. Maintain and nurture a designated portfolio of individual insurance plans, overseeing tasks such as continuous evaluation of client needs, handling renewals, addressing inquiries or issues, and ensuring efficient service provision.
The Individual Financial Services Consultant (IFS) will:
- Provide sales advice to clients on all insurance products, including life insurance, living benefits, travel insurance, and registered products (RESP, RRSP, and TFSA).
- Manage and retain an assigned block of business in relation to individual insurance plans, including ongoing needs assessment, renewals, reporting, client questions/concerns and service deliveries.
- Conduct in-person and remote meetings with new and existing clients.
- Conduct plan member education sessions when required.
- Conduct needs analysis and recommend solutions to achieve financial goals.
- Develop communications required for plan sponsors and their employees in partnership with marketing support teams.
- Participate in industry conferences, seminars, etc., to promote services and keep up to date with industry trends and activities.
- Maintain deep administration knowledge, including in-house and carrier best practices and liaise with implementation stakeholders as needed.
To be successful as a Individual Financial Services Consultant (IFS) with BPA, you will need :
- The incumbent must hold a life insurance license (LLQP) and an Ontario mutual fund license is considered an asset.
- Five years of experience in the individual financial services industry.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in financial planning or a business-related field.
- Consistency and motivation toward setting and achieving goals.
- Ability to work independently and strong self-discipline to complete necessary activities in a timely manner and manage competing priorities.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. And be able to use discretion and maintain information in the strictest confidence.
- The candidate must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with strong presentation skills.
All-star candidates will have:
- The ability to communicate in both official languages (French and English), both oral and written, is an asset.
- Successful completion of financial planning and life insurance designations such as CFP, CLU, and CHS designations.
- Valid driver's license.
