It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • This position supports the execution of the Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) strategy for TJX Canada through various I&D projects and initiatives. Manages I&D programs and initiatives to increase learning opportunities, awareness, engagement to Associates and Leaders through educational training, internal communications and special events
  • Develops and implements national I&D programs and initiatives to address organizational needs and global initiatives, prioritizing timelines and developing and managing detailed project plans
  • Collaborates and partners closely with global I&D, HR Centers of Expertise (COEs), HR Business Partners and internal departments in identifying I&D opportunities and building solutions
  • Develops and facilitates I&D sessions and focus groups to support HR Business Partners and the business in raising awareness, educating and discussing I&D within the business
  • Conducts ongoing internal and external research and analyzes data and information to assess, identify and present trends, opportunities and solutions; stays current with best practices and shifting market landscapes

 


What you’ll need

To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Minimum of five to seven (7) years progressive, related Human Resources experience with a minimum two (2) years program management experience; working knowledge of I&D program management considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Inclusion and Diversity theories, concepts and practices
  • Integrative thinker who is able to understand the cross-departmental relationships necessary to implement company-wide change with the ability to scale programs across multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external partners, build credibility and respect, challenge current thinking and provide advice and guidance to all levels of Associates
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and plan workflow with attention to detail; must be able to manage multiple projects and maintain a high sense of urgency
