Description:
Reporting to the Vice President, Talent Management & Business Partners, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides advice to business leaders, managers, and employees on all human resources related matters such as employee relations, rewards and recognition, talent management, change management, organization design, and team effectiveness. The HRBP will also leverage their understanding of the business to translate these needs into innovative and creative HR solutions. This role supports our Membership, Marketing and IT organizations
Key responsibilities/accountabilities
- Provide strategic advice and counsel to senior leaders on HR initiatives that drive Foresters Financial business strategy and align with our purpose
- Be a trusted advisor by understanding the priorities and operating environment of the business to develop and implement an HR and Talent plan grounded in their business strategy
- Use a data driven approach to identify themes and/or trends, and recommend solutions that address business needs
- Partner with the business to effectively lead through change with a focus on employee experience
- Provide coaching and leadership to business leaders and managers through various HR practices to grow capability in our people managers
- Plan, manage, and implement projects that develop talent and organization capabilities and enhance Foresters Financial’s reputation and position in the market
- Ensure employee development needs are identified and acted upon through developmental assignments or appropriate learning intervention. Embed and promote the total rewards philosophy and approach and drive integrated approach to a positive employee experience
- Assist business leaders to identify creative solutions to proactively create a positive workplace environment
- Manage workplace issues and conflicts, including human rights and harassment, performance management, accommodations, reorganizations, terminations, absenteeism, leaves of absence, and workplace investigations
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence within HR and other business partners on the development and execution of HR programs such as Talent Management and Performance Management
Key Qualifications/competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, such as Business Administration, Commerce or Psychology or equivalent work experience
- CHRL or CHRE certifications will be an asset
- Minimum 8 plus years of HR Business Partner experience
- Strong experience in Talent Management and Employee Relations is required
- Solid knowledge of evolving best practices in the field of HR
- Advanced working knowledge of relevant Canada legislations.
- Strategic and innovative thinker with the ability to prioritize and operationalize practical solutions and activities and meet deadlines in fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
