Help Desk Analyst

 

Description:

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be comfortable when providing help desk support and responding to client’s requests for assistance. You will be organized and skilled at building strong relationships as you work closely with a number of internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate a strong attention to detail combined with an ability to see the big picture and be able to analyze and evaluate the situation to find effective solutions.

Qualifications

Two-year diploma in a computer related field plus 3 years related experience.

Related experience:

  • In-person computer deskside support experience
  • Remote computer support experience in a call center environment

 


Or equivalent as described below:
Equivalency: A related university degree from a recognized post-secondary institution and one-year related experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and four years related experience.

Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Knowledge of the current versions of Microsoft Office and desktop operating systems
  • Basic understanding of wireless systems and support
  • Experience with IT support ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of personal computer systems (desktops and laptops)
  • Proven experience in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification
