Description:
To aid and assist visitors to Toronto Eaton Centre by providing excellent service and maintaining a hospitable environment.
What you will deliver:
- Assist visitors/customers in person, both at the desk and as scheduled at designated directories and intersections in the centre and by telephone by providing information on the location of stores, services, events and promotions at the TEC. Provide general information on city attractions, theatres and entertainment in a friendly, professional manner.
- Communicate with tenants and customers on a proactive and regular basis by delivering Memos and news letters
- Assist Sr. Guest Services Rep. in the training of new and existing staff.
- Inform Sr. Guest Services Rep. if ordering or purchasing of supplies is required
- Assist customer with wheelchair loans , collecting and refunding deposit monies, ensure they are maintained
- Handling cash and float counting
- Prepare daily deposit slips and separate cash in the bank bags for Brinks
- Summon security in the event of an emergency and report any unusual occurrences (i.e. lost child)
- Monthly updating of TEC retail emergency contact list
- Logging of lost and found items
- Re-stock of the display material
- Assist Marketing department printing a copy of Film Release and execution of marketing programs as required
- Provide other services to support marketing campaigns
- Distribute flyers, promotional information and other materials to visitors, customers and tenants to support special events and other program deliverables
- Perform other duties as required

What you need to succeed:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Diploma or certificate in Hospitality & Tourism
- 2 years previous customer service, marketing and/or public relations experience an asset
- Computer literacy with knowledge of Gmail, Excel, Word and Internet
- Good understanding of cash balancing and bookkeeping skills
- Extensive knowledge of the City of Toronto and surrounding area including theatres, attractions and special events
- Keen observation skills and awareness of surroundings
- Availability to work shifts and weekends
