Guest Service Agent

 

Description:

  • Greet, register and assign rooms to guests of hotel
  • Verify customers’ credit, and establish how the customer will pay
  • Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report a problem
  • Make and confirm reservations
  • Assign and distribute room keys
  • Perform bookkeeping duties such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits
  • Keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts
  • Record guest comments or complaints, referring them to managers when necessary
  • Review accounts and charges with guests during the check-out process
  • Answer inquires pertaining to hotel services, guest registration and travel directions
  • Arrange tours, taxis and restaurant reservations for guests

  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Good organizational skills, able to multi-task and is detailed oriented
  • Flexible schedule (able to work evenings, weekends and holidays)
