Objectives of this role
- Conceptualizing and implementing designs for our print publications, web, email and social media and marketing collateral
- Ensuring a high standard of visual execution across all graphic design collateral
- Work independently as well as cooperatively to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload
Responsibilities
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize on a wide range of materials that include publication design and layout, web pages and social media, marketing collateral, presentations, signage, internal communications, newsletters
- Develop graphics, campaign collateral, and print/digital content for the publication
- Develop original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Work with the creative team to ensure quality and consistency in all deliverables
- Ensure all concepts and creative is on brand
- Research archival images and proper publication use
Required skills and qualifications
- Post-secondary Certificate or Diploma in a related field, 5+ years experience in a professional capacity
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for Mac
- Experience with website development programs such as WordPress, with understanding of the digital media landscape including social media and associated scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent time management and strong organizational skills to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
- A keen eye for detail when it comes to proofing and preparing files for print
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- French language an asset
