Graphic Designer

 

Description:

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Own the design for: print layout (brochures and proposals), digital presentations using Power

Point, environmental (signage and posters), video/photo content screens (Banners/ads,
booklets/pdfs, presentations), social media promotion, digital (UX/UI, website, layout), logos,
brand assets

  • Conceptualize and implement design solutions that meet marketing strategies to help the

marketing team achieve creative goals and objectives.

  • Partner with business units across Canada by providing design and creative guidance or support

to ensure templates and materials align to the brand standards.

  • Manage the digital asset library ensuring it is kept up to date and organized so various business

units have access for use as needed.

  • Stay on top of all trends, maintain best practices and explore different stylistic executions of

concepts.

  • Ability to read and implement design briefs from concept to completion.
  • Contribute to a positive team experience by working cooperatively and effectively with others to

execute on projects.

  • Undertake self-directed tasks and work independently when necessary
  • Work with and understand brand guidelines to create new design projects while understanding a

brand’s tone of voice.

  • Present creative concepts to marketing leadership and communicate progress of projects to

team members when working together

Technical and Design Skills

  • Strong and advanced working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and

Illustrator; understand of After Effects and Premiere Pro considered an asset

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Strong working knowledge of Wordpress and Social Media Platforms
  • Experience and understanding of motion design and ability to storey board concepts is preferred

 

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in technology, both in terms of platform and new
  • Skilled with typography, font selection and copy layout
  • Strong graphic design portfolio

  • Excellent time management skills; attention to detail; the ability to work with leadership to

prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.

  • Ability to develop a work schedule, set goals, create/implement action plans and monitor

progress towards goals; and ability to make clear, timely decisions with leadership.

  • Self-motivated approach with the ability to take initiative but works well in group environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple assignments and work

efficiently to meet tight deadlines

  • Demonstrated problem solving and ability to use discretion and adhere to confidentiality
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain a positive attitude and working relationships with others, both internally and externally
  • Communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities
  • Strong aptitude in applying design thinking to advertising communications.
  • A creative, organized, and highly motivated individual who brings strong design aesthetic and

  • Ability to work independently but more importantly as part of a team to meet deadlines.

 

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education in design, communications or related
  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design or marketing
  • Experience in B2B business development graphic design.
  • Experience in the real estate industry and/or design agency and studio preferred
  • Only candidates with a portfolio will be considered
